About Bayyinli

What Bayyinli is, who it is for and who publishes it.

What Bayyinli is

Bayyinli (بيّن لي, "explain it to me") is a free, Arabic-first website for teaching Arabic writing in Modern Standard Arabic. It brings together a whiteboard for live lessons, printable worksheets, practice exercises and short reference lessons.

Our founders and educational reviewer

Dr. Mustapha El Amrani, cofounder of Bayyinli, holds a PhD in pharmaceutical biology.

Pr. Adnane El Amrani (Experienced teacher), cofounder of Bayyinli, has 24 years of primary school teaching experience and reviews our educational content.

What it offers

  • The whiteboard: the teacher writes, draws and adds pictures, PDF pages, tables and stickers. They share the board with a code, a link or a QR code, and learners join from their phones without an account. The teacher decides who may write, asks questions and runs games, and uses a ruler, a compass and classroom tools. They can give each learner a private board, and set homework with a due date and feedback.
  • Worksheets: many types for letters, words and harakat, illustrated with our own drawings, printed or saved as PDF.
  • Practice and lessons: letter tracing, the missing letter and harakat, plus lessons on the alphabet, harakat, connecting letters and handwriting.
  • A floating Arabic keyboard for anyone without one.

Who it is for

Teachers of Arabic, in schools, private lessons and online, as well as parents and learners themselves. The interface is in Arabic, English and French; the content is in Modern Standard Arabic.

How it works

There are no accounts, no advertising and no advertising trackers. A shared board is kept for 24 hours after its lesson starts and then deleted; what you make on your own stays on your device. The details are on the privacy page.

Bayyinli also makes Hurayrah, a small free companion extension for Chrome, separate from this site.
